May I introduce you…

I follow some awesome blogs, written by really great people. Come to think about, I follow blogs for numerous reasons. Either I enjoy the writing and style, or the subjects chosen. Sometimes, when I get lucky, is all of the above. I follow blogs, because I feel entertained and want to read more. Not just do I want to read more, I want to get to know the person behind the blog as well. It’s like having an extra room in my house, where we all meet and talk about whatever comes to our minds. Meeting the world, without having to leave my house…how convenient is that?

Steve, the author of stvrsnbrgr.com introduced me today to a new blog and I am glad he did. He wrote:

Last week, my friend Rebecca learned she has a golfball-size mass of cervical cancer. She has responded to this change of plans with her trademark spunk, pluck and verve. And she’s blogging the experience. You don’t have to know R, or have cancer, or a cervix… to be inspired by her courageous spirit and funny-as-hell take on the absurdities of a life-threatening diagnosis. She has named her cancer Ricardo. And he is toast.

Steve has a way with words, doesn’t he? I got curious -as always- got a cup of coffee and checked the blog out. I like women with spunk, I like attitude and love sarcasm and good humor.

Today I clicked follow, because I want to be there. I want to stand on the sideline when Ricardo will be beaten and yes, I have no doubt he will be toast.

I would like to get to know Rebecca as well, hear more about her mini-mini action figure and her dream affair with Tyrion Lannister. For the first time in my short blogging career, I feel like I want to introduce a blog, because we all have times in our lives when we need people on the sidelines cheering, don’t we?

So, here it is

oh and grab a cup of coffee :-).

  2. A great many of the blogs I now follow were by way of another blogger’s introduction. I will most definitely make my way over to Rebecca. She definitely has a story to tell!
