His head on my shoulder
I feel his breath on my neck
A quick kiss, then a deep sigh
Letting me know that he is happy
I smile and lay still, eyes open
Enjoying the moment, like every morning
Wondering how he managed again
To smuggle himself into my bed
Oh the joys of a dog owner
Being loved so much
Or is it a power struggle?
Is he claiming my bed?
Who cares?
It’s our ritual
Our special moment
I am his and he is mine

I hope he keeps that puppy energy and cuteness for a long time!
Awww! ❤️❤️❤️
LOVE!
🥰
He’s handsome and adorable at the same time!
So true. His demeanor is so sweet. We got very lucky
Vader inspired quite a lovely poem!
Thank you, Nancy.
I love this! When we started letting Marley on the spare bed, he was so happy. I’d just like him to not jump right in the middle. He’s learning to share. There’s no love like dog love. Enjoy!
Vader knows the ‘rules’ as well but he can’t help it, he has to say “good morning’ before he moves down to my feet.
Vader is a really cool name.
A dog’s love is so authentic.
So true
He’s adogable and I love your poem.
“Adogable” made me smile. Thank you, Cindy. I am glad you like my little poem.
*(such a cutie) darn this phone’s auto -correct. I am turning it off! Just have to find out how first.
I turned it off. My phone is not smart 🙂
Wise woman!
He is growing up and how could you resist sick a cutie!
He is very cute and very sweet, which makes it very hard to be stern with him.
I can relate. Those eyes they use when we are trying to enforce rules!
Oh, no! CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
<3

I know, I am darn cute am I? 😁😂🤣
So true. Love snuggling with my dogs. It is 2 years today we adopted our little one.
It’s a very special feeling and I truly enjoy it. I wake up with a smile now every day. It can’t get better than that.
They always give far more than they ask for!
Oh Peter, I can’t tell you how much joy he brings to us and our older dog. Yes, he gives so much more I could have ever wished for. I still miss the dogs who left us very much, but Vader makes it easier. He is something.
Beautifully expressed.
Thank you, Anne. Have a great weekend.
Oh, so lovely!
One of our two always ends up on the foot of the bed for at least part of the night. I call him my foot warmer!
The bad part is I don’t know if I enjoy it more or him. 🙂
Oh. How blessed we are that our animals share their unconditional love with us(even in the wee hours of the morning).
Blessed indeed. He is a special puppy. We are lucky he found his way into our home and I enjoy our morning snuggels more than I can say.
