When the COVID lockdown happen, kids and adults started to pain rocks and they left them in yards and door steps of neighbors to cheer them up. It became a thing. Now and then I still see one at an unexpected place. It always makes me smile. How could one resist a purple gnome. 🙂
As I just explained to Forestwood. It became a trend here in the area where we live, to paint rocks and leave them for others to find. It started during the COVID lockdown, and hasn’t stopped yet. I found a smiley rock on my mailbox. It made my day 🙂
I saw the crocheted mail boxes and find them very charming. Very british as well, and I mean it as a compliment. I love the painted rocks and have kept a few and left a few. 🙂
So cute! Did you find the rock in the forest?

You left it behind to pass on the happiness 🙂
Oh, how cute! 🙂
It made me smile!
I want one!
We left it in the forest but I wanted to take it with me at first too.
It looks a fairly simple design but very beautiful!

It happened in quite a few areas over here too. A lot of crafters started crocheted post box toppers too, and that has continued.

A watcher in the woods…!
