Why Our Dog Has A YouTube Video

I am proud of myself because I have managed to figure out how to upload a video from my phone to YouTube, which happened as a form of self-defense. It was the last attempt to somehow get this video off my phone.

Every try to send it in an email was denied -by my phone- because the file was too big (really?) and so finally, after one year of trying, today in the morning I thought why not upload it as a YouTube video, even though I have no YouTube channel, neither have I any other videos to share (yet).

It took one year for me to accept the fact that I could not transfer the file from phone to PC, and only three minutes to have it online for the world to see -if the world would ever find me and our then four-month-old Vader.

The timing was perfect, just yesterday I (had to) sign up for a paid WordPress version (again and for good) because I have used the free provided media storage of 3 GB (go figure) full of photos and yes, videos (just not mine.)

Paying $9 a month is right now cheaper than spending an endless amount of time going through almost ten years of blog posts, after all, time is, or can be, money.

So I thought I share Vader’s first stair-climbing attempt on our back stairs with all my dog-loving friends, and I promise it won’t happen often because now, one year later, he is flying up and down the stairs and there is no slowing down -ever.

Finally, the video is off my phone and can’t get deleted by accident anymore -which I feared the most.

Wasn’t Vader a cute puppy? Aren’t we crazy dog owners? It’s not like he wouldn’t have figured it out all by himself. 🙂

You and your cute pup are making great progress! 😁 Cute video and your story made me laugh. Technology/video frustrations! I understand.

  3. Poor little Vader.
High Squeaky voice and not fearsome at all.

    • He is Mr. Independent. He wants to try everything alone, but makes sure we are close. He heels perfectly without leash, yet doesn’t do it when he is on the leash. He is a lot like me. 🙂
Stairs are a scary thing for little puppies. We made the same experience with every puppy we got. They go up and when they turn around and see how steep it is they think they can’t do it.

  4. Such a pitiful cry!. I hope you gave your pup a lot of lovin’ after his stair descending accomplishments. 🙂

Now that you’ve figured it out, I suspect we’ll see more of you on your new channel. 😉 and I loved seeing Vader in his first attempt at stairs. What a sweet little puppy!

    • I doubt it. I need a new phone, my old one is waving the white flag and I am afraid it might go out on me if I don’t react quickly. I had everything backed up, but two videos, so I tried to come up with something, I didn’t want to lose them.
As for Vader, he is too fast. I have a stunning amount of ‘accident’ picture with nothing on it, because he was there one second and on the other side of the yard (or room) in the blink of an eye.

I have several Youtube videos I’ve added to my “channel” as well. They are typically the pets, and I used them when I added the videos to my blog. I get a kick out of it when I see someone has looked at them. It’s simply amusing to me. Now that you know how to do it you can play around if you choose. Who knows what technology we’ll have in the future. 🙂

What an adorable puppy. Good for you for figuring it out. I have found that there is always more than one way to do things when it comes to technology. Nothing wrong with having him on YouTube.

Way too cute. Tech can be a challenge for us who have not used it. The worst part is having it work once and then forgetting what we did to get it to work. Transferring from phone or camera to PC is fairly simple (I use Sony Playmemories for this, but there also left click options available when you click on the phone or camera storage icon). I do this every time I shoot something and from there, I also make additional backup copies.
But, again Vader is way too cute and he deserves to be on Youtube. Cheers. Allan

    • You (or your phone) must be smarter than me (and my phone). I couldn’t get this video off my phone. I tried sharing it via message, that worked, but I could never share it (transfer it) into an email, which would have solved the problem, because I would have send myself an email and opened it on my PC. Perhaps I am not getting it all (yet).
Vader agrees with you, and so do we. 🙂
