A duet made in heaven? One could think so, considering Elvis died in 1977 and the Christmas Duets was released in 2008.
I often question modern technology but this album is certainly something to be grateful for.
With the advancements in today’s technology, producers and engineers can bring some of the world’s biggest talent together for a duet that many of us thought would never have been possible – and that’s exactly what happened for this delightful Christmas song!
Elvis Presley left behind such a massive catalog of recordings that an entirely new album was crafted featuring duets with new artists!
The record, Christmas Duets, debuted in 2008 and featured 13 dazzling duets with new artists and combined them with stunning archived vocal recordings of Presley with an entirely re-recorded instrumentation.
One of these iconic duets features Gretchen Wilson, The Redneck Woman in a remarkable digital duet of the cherished Christmas song, “Merry Christmas Baby”.

I do love Gretchen’s voice… a pretty good version of the song for sure!
Thank you, Leigha. I hope you had a nice Christmas.
You’re welcome. It was very nice with my daughter and son-in-law here.
🙂 There have been enough sightings over the years
Amazing! Love it.
Very nicely done! Added to my Christmas playlist
This duet is engineered particularly well. Very clever! 🙂
