Sisters -Friday Fictioneers

Friday Fictioneers

Finally, they would meet.  Stepsisters –they had just found out, both girls had been estranged from their families for years.

One had called the other, “I think we are family now,” she had said and there was a long silence on the other end.

“Are you there?”

“Yes, I am still here.”

Both had longed for a sibling all their life.

“Let’s meet,” they had decided and had chosen this little bar for their first contact.

What if she doesn’t like me?” the same thought went through their minds when they arrived.

They met at the door -both smiled.

I thoroughly enjoy this challenge, and I am looking forward to next weeks picture. I don’t consider myself a writer, just a story teller.  I am always surprised to see that I can manage to cut a story short -who would have thought. 🙂

The 100-word challenge is hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. It is great fun. Click <<<here>>> and the magic online carpet will transport you.

  3. Dear Happy Quitter,

How sweet when separated siblings meet. 😉 Even if they are stepsisters. Still family. Nicely done.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

      • Dear Bridget,

Happy to have you aboard. I could go into arias about what Friday Fictioneers did and continues to do for me. I didn’t create it, but am happy to keep it alive. (Glad you know your name, too. 😉 )

        Shalom and a happy weekend,

        Rochelle

Yes! I like it 🙂 You’re a good storyteller. I might have to try this some time. I don’t think I would be. We’ll see 🙂 Happy weekend!

Great! Not all storytellers are writers, and not all writers are storytellers. Some are both, but the story’s the important thing. 🙂

    • I agree. I have been put asleep by great writing because I just couldn’t connect to the story.

I agree. A story teller knows how to tell a good story without putting the listener to sleep.
