It has always puzzled me what all the cheering is for. Perhaps it’s simply the fact that I can still walk upright—most of the time. Or maybe it’s just that I walk at all.
Every time someone calls me an author, I tense up. I can feel it in my shoulders. I purse my lips, and the wrinkles on my forehead grow deeper when I frown. “I wish they would stop calling me that,” a voice inside me whispers.

I took a long blogging break here, unintentionally. So much is happening all the time, everywhere, on many levels – and ACTUALLY, I would have something to say about many of these topics. So why don’t I do it?

Many, many years ago, in the last century, before I got married, I landed on a Spanish Island called Gran Canaria, part of the Canary Islands, which, interestingly enough, is closer to Africa than to Spain.

too often unwanted and unasked
and always unaware of my mood and needs.
It blabbers nonsense, it’s overly friendly,
Alexa, a pretender, a sales robot, eager to please.
But I am not buying.
