Perfect timing daily prompt, perfect timing. I stepped out of my comfort zone exactly one year ago on May 2nd, 2014. It was the day before my 3-month-quit-smoking-celebration and I was reading through all the posts I had written, tried to come up with a filing system -something like a diary and somehow it didn’t work very well.

A principle is usually wisdom, someone discovered in their own life and realizes it might help others as well. There are so many great, timeless quotes that have indeed changed the lives of many people, mine included. It started when I was a child “treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated” and “look people in the eye” were sentenced I heard often when I was growing up and they were good principles to start with. But it was only the beginning.
“Every time I get used to something, I turn around and she changes it”, that’s one of my husbands favorites statement. “She” would be me and “he” would be the wonderful man I am married to…and, as much I hate to admit it, “he” would be right. I have rearranged our living room -again- just recently and surprised him with it. Here I am, the social media dinosaur, refusing to use Facebook, twitter or other funny stuff…writing a blog about how I quit smoking. My dream was to pay it forward…but to whom? I expected one or two guests…if even. How would people find me? I ignored all the logical questions and started blogging anyway. I wrote my first post in May 2014 and became a blogger…against the odds :-).
I am happily married since forever and now I am wondering, if my dog might be the reason 🙂 I don’t re-blog often, but this post made me giggle and…

New Blogging Rules…
6 months ago I started blogging. I wasn’t really sure what it meant but decided to do it anyway. I watched the movie “Julie and Julia” and if she could do it, so could I…it couldn’t be that complicated. I had the idea, or the vision, to write about my quitting journey. I wanted to share my experience with others and thought “maybe I can reach just one smoker”. I didn’t really know how, but that was the idea behind it and the reason why I started blogging.
