I was recently asked if I could fill in for a judge at an international school project. I felt honored and couldn’t wait to see what the kids would come up with.

That’s the number I came up with, when I deducted the average number of likes, from the number of followers on my little blog.
– 45 The average number of likes on a decent post
= 868 That means 868 followers must dislike everything I write. Bummer!

The Daily Prompt closed its doors and it was about time. The good, old fishing ground for new readers and followers, had been hanging on for too long. It had lost its brilliance a few years back and I wondered when it would give up -had expected it to happen much sooner.

Hiding behind a screen brings out the worst in some. How easy it is these days, to constantly offend and attack people with mean tweets and comments. I am often shocked by the brutality and coldness people can show, with just a few words.

Most of us are very fortunate. We can afford to go overboard, and we do it every year around Thanksgiving. We cook for an army of people, even though there will only be a handful at the dinner table. Instead of one side dish, we have four or five.

My dad gave me one dollar bill
‘Cause I’m his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
‘Cause two is more than one!
