I am proud of my friend. When I describe her to other people, I often use my hands and show about 3″ between my pointer finger and thumb. “She is that big,” and I laugh. I don’t mean it disrespectfully, quite the opposite. My friend is petite and about 12 inches shorter than me.

Most of us here in the US have never heard of Reem Sahwil and I want her to meet you, that’s why I am writing this post. Many of us work tirelessly behind the scenes. We are trying to make this world a better place. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s important and its complexity is beyond imagination.
