Not so long ago, I told my neighbor to stop texting me. I did the same with all my students and customers. I asked them to text me only in emergencies, like when the house is on fire, or if they wanted to reschedule your appointment because they don’t want to drive in ice and snow—which I understand.

Wordless Wednesday

My workroom is a mess, but I’ve completed all projects on time, actually, a couple of days earlier than planned. My customers were pleased and very appreciative. A gigantic poinsettia is now displayed on our window, and a gift basket full of gluten and dairy goodness has been regifted to a neighbor’s home, and it will make their Christmas a bit heavier.

A monthly review, late as usual. September, a month full of surprises, life just the way it’s supposed to be. “My wife will divorce me,” a statement made by my husband at an eye exam. It’s so typical for him, but he meant it.

I am often asked what a typical day is like for me. And before the end of December 2020, the answer was clear, at least for the first part of the day.

Writing and Prompts

I am not sure if it was the dumbest or the smartest thing we ever did, but at the end of 2024, it was all set in stone. We all would go under the knife in the first quarter of the New Year. Two humans and a dog named Patches – our second dog Vader was spared the surgery frenzy.

I can hardly believe how quickly this month has rushed by. It was a hot one. Our A/C was running around the clock, only to be interrupted by a few power outages when severe thunderstorms came through our area.

June was a month of contradictions. Church or strip club? (More about this later) My nerves got the best of me, by now I act like a snapping turtle. Mostly calm on the outside but boy, if you come too close I will bite your head off if I get a chance.
