Out of Africa is my comfort movie, because I fell in love with Africa the moment I set foot on this beautiful continent, which is so different in so many ways from where I come from and where I was going to (Austria/USA).

I am not sure if it was the dumbest or the smartest thing we ever did, but at the end of 2024, it was all set in stone. We all would go under the knife in the first quarter of the New Year. Two humans and a dog named Patches – our second dog Vader was spared the surgery frenzy.

“The lukewarm piss” made me laugh when I watched the movie “The Second Best Marigold Hotel” for the first time. I love tea, and just like her I never understood why so many first-class hotels and restaurants all over the world don’t know how to serve tea correctly.

August was packed with events, emotions, tears, laughter, joy and sadness. There were worries and lots of happy moments.

May is already here and now it’s officially spring. I hope your April was a good one. Mine – our – April was full of mixed emotions, just like the weather, with ups and downs.

Sometimes it breaks my heart a little to delete numbers because there is a human being behind them.

My March was eventful. It gave me a few surprises, many laughs, a couple of wonderful movie nights, and a few tears. There was success and confusion. I made a mistake that should have never happened and my pride got a damper. On the other hand – because there is always a silver lining – I am proud of how I reacted.
