The 20″ long puppy bed I ordered last weekend arrived yesterday. What was I thinking? What happened to the tiny puppy?
Only one more day until Luna’s estimated 8-week birthday. Three more days until we go back to the veterinarian’s office for her first puppy vaccinations.
I hope Luna might actually weigh ten pounds by then, which would be marvelous. The vet took pictures of her when we brought her in on Sunday, July 5th, weighing only 3.2 pounds. Estimated age: 5-6 weeks. We all were so upset because she was so young, so malnourished, and so tiny. I have a feeling they won’t recognize her.
I hope they will keep her baby picture as her avatar in their system.

Luna’s ribs are no longer showing. Her hipbones don’t stick out anymore. No more worm in this belly. No more parasites either, just food, even some adult food morsels that she snatched on her way to her playpen.
It feels good to see this parasite-free baby belly.
I have been spoiling her with powdered goat milk twice a day, which I added to her water. If I managed to get Luna’s weight up by seven pounds in only two weeks – from 7/5 to 7/25 – then I will pat myself on my shoulder.
Next week, it will be time to hit the brakes. Goodness, we have to get our act together, or my husband and I will mess up another dog and create another spoiled monster.

Oh, that made me laugh.

haaaaa! I love it! Glad all is well with Luna!
I have been known to make pancakes for the dogs!! Luna is doing very well! What a sweetheart.
I have a feeling most dog owners cook special treats for their beloved four legged family members. You are in good company, Darlene.
Love that Luna is doing so well and the pancake joke is wonderful!
The pancake joke made me laugh out loud. Thank you for stopping by, Lori.
