I wonder how many they lose as fish bait. When I was a boy, we used to catch grasshoppers all the time. We used to have thousands of them. Today, I only see a few each summer. It makes me wonder what man did to the environment that impacted their numbers. Clever story.
I noticed it as well. I hardly see them anymore.
Ooh, Big Brother is watching! I thought that grasshopper out back yesterday looked a bit suspicious…

They do. We had a caterpillar in the house and only the dogs saw it, my husband and I didn’t hear or see a thing.

We chased a rather fast caterpillar last night in our living room. Scary looking insect, even the dogs jumped away. If it was a spy device they will have to replace it. It had an accident 🙂
