Every time I see a boat, my mind wanders back to that night.
We had been dancing, and guys we knew had invited us to a special, nightly cruise on a boat.
Of course, we went, and all was fine for a while. Then the flirting stopped, and the guys told us that this special cruise came with special demands -demands we were not willing to fulfill.
They started to hug us; tried to force us against our will.
That’s when it ended badly for them. They didn’t know we were the women’s boxing team.
God, I love that memory.

I am back! Summer is over, and life is kinda back normal. I have more time to play now.
The Friday Fictioneers are held by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. Every week she posts a picture and asks us to write a story with 100 words or less. One of my favorite challenges here at WordPress. Come join the fun!

Ha!!!! This made me laugh. Be careful watch you ask for, indeed.
I loved this story. Beautiful
It was very clear that the men took a drubbing, well-deserved. Perverts. Great story!
Thank you!
Great story. I am happy I was pleasantly surprised 😀
Ha, I was feeling very worried, I’m glad you turned it around. Reminds me of a news story a while ago where a mugger didn’t realise his intended victim was a champion mixed martial artist. Heh heh 🙂
Serves them well I think
That story took a turn for the better – ha ha, serves those guys right!
Love it!
Oh how sweet the karma is sometimes! Great ending! Loved it!
I am glad you stopped by
I was so pleased to read your last few words! Excellent.

I love a feel-good ending.
Girl power at its finest! 🥊 🥊 😁
Yes Ma’am 🙂
Nicely done. Thrilling end.
You had me rather worried on this one … but I should have guessed there would be a surprise 🙂
Dear Bridget,
I’ve missed seeing you of late. This one made me chuckle at the end. That was indeed a surprise party for those guys. 😀 Good one.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Oh Rochelle, my summers are always crazy busy. Every year a few neighbor kids spend the summer with me in my workroom until their parents are back from work. It doesn’t leave me with too much time to do other things… then have a stiff drink in the evening.
Glad, my story made you chuckle!
Surprise, surprise!
I think the men would back off… even if you can hit back most men fear pain too much… hopefully they will no try with weaker women next time.
Lovely story, and right in the word count too! <3 Off the subject and wandering somewhere else, I've challenged you on one of my posts to a black and white photo challenge…of course you're not obligated to play and no pressure intended, but since you said you had a bit more time TO play, it might be fun. Find the post here: http://sparksfromacombustiblemind.com/2017/10/04/something-different-iv/
“Having more time to play,” that was the fictional part 🙂
That was great! So very glad it ended the way it did and not the way it seemed it would…
That ended a lot better than I thought it was gong to. Nice one.
Love it!
I hope the men were untrained. I’ve had this conversation before and between two opponents of approximately the same skill, mass wins. Glad they cleaned their proverbial clocks.
It’s not always mass, there is technique and the element of surprise as well. 🙂
True, but in this sort of situation, you don’t want to leave a lot to chance.
The one that hits first mostly wins -old European street rule. 🙂
James is right that if the men and women were equally skilled and if you assumed that these particular men had substantially more mass than these particular women, the women would be at a disadvantage. But I thought it was clear when you said that the women were on a boxing team and did not say that the men were, that this indicated the women were better trained and practiced at hitting people (and at dodging and taking blows) than the men were.
I agree with you, I think the last two sentences made it clear that the women gave them a lesson.
