“A monk decides to meditate alone. Away from his monastery, he takes a boat and goes to the middle of the lake, closes his eyes and begins to meditate.
Much has happened this summer, and I was desperate for some distraction, needed to see natures beauty away from my everyday routine. I didn’t feel like mingling much, wanted to be with a small group of friends who know me well.
Every time I see a boat, my mind wanders back to that night.
We had been dancing, and guys we knew had invited us to a special, nightly cruise on a boat.
Of course, we went, and all was fine for a while. Then the flirting stopped, and the guys told us that this special cruise came with special demands -demands we were not willing to fulfill.
All was there. Clothes, Food, Blankets, new phones and even books in case we would get bored. This boat was our way out. We would row upstream and soon we would be in open water.
