I always wanted to go there, but never found the time. This year I visited the Chinese Lantern Festival with my Meetup group and we all had a good time. It’s like stepping into a new world.
A world full of dragons and sea creatures
A place full of butterflies and dinosaurs
It’s like a fairytale land out of a book I read so long ago.
If there is one close to you, go and visit it. It’s so worth it.

Funny that I live in a city with a HUGE Chinese community and yet I’ve never heard of a Lantern Festival. Now you had me curious enough to go looking for one, but I couldn’t find anything for 2018 … yet. I’ll be sure to check it out if there is one!
We will have many Chinese New Year festivities in January, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen any indication of a Chinese Lantern Festival! I need to see if I can find one…your photos are beautiful and it looks like it would be a wonderful experience.
