I think he was Framed

Last night I found spinach leaves and noodles on the kitchen rug, what either means I am getting sloppy, or the dogs got into the trash -again. The case was easy to solve. The guilty party was trying to hide behind the fridge, but couldn’t help look around the corner, when I came in.

Dogs and trash, that’s a neverending story, especially with big dogs. We went through numerous trashcans, and are now the proud owners of the ugliest trashcan known to man. It’s a heavy round one, with a swing lid, which is suppose to hit the dogs in the head when they try to steal, sadly this part doesn’t seem to work. Instead, it hits my hand, each and every time I try to squeeze garbage through the small opening.

“Just bring the trash outside every evening,” I hear you say and you are right. That’s a good plan, sometimes we even follow it. But what when it’s not all the way full? Trash bags are so expensive and I hate to waste money. I think the dogs know that and love me for so being so frugal.

We had trashcans with a foot pedal, a mechanism the dogs instantly understood and we had to put something heavy on the lid -what makes the waste removal rather complicated. My favorite was the trashcan that always had to face the wall, this way the dogs couldn’t get to it -neither could we.

Last night I finally caved and went online, on a new search for a dog proof trash can. I am willing to spend money. This time I will either buy one that can be locked or one that has a motion sensor on top of the lid.

During my research, I came across this video and to me it’s quite obvious, the dog had been framed! 🙂

OMG this is just too funny. I remember those days… we always put the garbage can on top of the counter when we left the house… woe to us if we forgot.

    • Once a month they manage to get into my trash or steal something from my desk and remind me I shouldn’t eat there in the first place. It’s a package deal -the love, the joy and the things we don’t like too much. Just like marriage, when you realize the love of your life comes with dirty socks -not to mention the underware. 🙂
