I can think of nothing more American

I am going out on a limb here but I would recommend we might wanna learn to pronounce his name 🙂

I hope that the NFL and others -the ones who only seem to know black and white (pun intended)- will listen and perhaps think about his statement as well.

One can hope!

Jump with joy, hold hands and celebrate or kneel in silent protest during the anthem. This is (still) America the land of the free. May it never change.

Texas is lucky to have Congressman Beto O’Rourke! I think he will give Ted Cruz a run for his money.

First of all, knowledge is power. This man is educated in the history of his country in a way that empowers him to deliver his message eruditely and lucidly. And his message is the message that surely all Americans should want to digest. That this is the self-proclaimed land of the free and that freedom means that people can choose, so long as they are not harming others, to make protests and draw attention to the issues that are harming too many others. I would vote for him in a heartbeat. But I guess you might have guessed that 😊

I re-Tweeted this amazing moment several days ago absolutely thrilled and moved and hopeful! I think that what caught my eye in my Twitter feed was someone I follow making the statement that Beto sounded like a young Bobby Kennedy. At that point I took a listen! My fingers are certainly crossed for him to win, and I’d like to see him go far, shaking up the status quo BIG time. He’s a standout, for sure!

    • I saw him on TV with Bill Mher and I was pleasantly surprised by his knowledge and his attitude.

We need people like him and I can see him become a very well known name in our future.

  3. What an absolutely fantastic response this is. His passion, his knowledge, his tolerance, and his potential really shine through. I hope he does not become disillusioned by the bombastic, blinkered, bigots he will encounter every day in his career.

    • He seems to have his head on straight and he is not easily impressed by money. He follows principles and has moral standards. I hope the “business” will not change him!
