A Late Bloomer Indeed

blooming fall.jpg

Like every year, our little tree is getting ready for winter. The leaves just started to wilt and soon they will fall to the ground. What will be left will be a bare tree, waiting for the wintertime.

The little berries will freeze with the first snow, and then the birds will come and will enjoy the frozen treat.

Imagine my surprise when I looked outside today, and I saw a lonely, pink blossom. After a few cold nights last week, the temperatures are back in the 90’s. It feels like summer and not like fall at all. I am so glad Climate Change is just a hoax, otherwise, I would be worried.

I couldn’t help but smile at the little flower. I have been a late bloomer myself -I understand.

No hurry up little bloom little bud. Winter will come soon!

That’s a wonderful surprise! I still have impatiens blooming on the patio, but starting to look sad. One more week and they may find their way into the woods.

    • I am ready for some cooler weather. No more A/C, open windown and a crisp brise, please.

We’re going to have highs in the upper 40’s after Wednesday, so I shall enjoy today’s high of 77 as much as possible. If you’re desperate, I can send the 40’s in your direction. 😏😊

I get such a thrill when nature surprises me. We predict so many things and sometimes we just get shown we don’t know it all. 🙂 Lovely!

    • Isn’t it odd? It’s hot here, unheard of in October. I am so done with summer 🙂
