Bunny Free Forever!

Did you know that Beagles are the preferred breed to be used -and abused- in laboratories because no matter how much pain they feel, they will never bite you? That’s sickening, isn’t it?

While I can understand some limited testing particularly in the medical field, for example for a cancer drug that could cure Millions, I wish we would have much stronger rules and regulations worldwide.

Naive as I am, I thought that cosmetic companies would no longer torture animals in the name of their often highly questionable beauty product. As so often I was wrong! While many cosmetic companies have agreed to no longer abuse animals in the US, they didn’t stop, they just outsourced it to other countries and get away with it. Well, not on my blog!

Here is the link to peta.org where you can find the list of cosmetic companies who just don’t care. Dangit, my lipstick has to go, the rest can stay -in case I ever need it. 🙂

There is even an app called Bunny-Free which allows us to research before we buy. How genius is that?

Well, I am going all Bunny Free, how about you?

Great information about the app, and always good to let people know about those poor Beagles and rabbits. Many thanks for following my blog too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

Thank you for the app. It really is hard to imagine that we need to abuse animals to fortify the cosmetic industry. 🙁

I don’t wear makeup and last I knew my facial soap was animal friendly. So sad this still goes on.

Amazing that you posted this.. just last week a friend adopted a beagle that had been in a lab- I too was stunned that dogs are still being used for cosmetic testing. She is the cutest, sweetest little thing. Lulamae is her name.( Most of the make up I use these days is Vegan)

    • I just looked up vegan make up. While the priced shocked me quite a bit I like (Thrive) I need to look further into it. I don’t wear make up and what I still have -and use occationally- is probably older than I am. 🙂

Glad your friend adopted a rescued Beagle. She will be a great dog, I just know.
