Flowers and balloons,
no candy please, too much sugar.
Perhaps a movie
if we make it all the way through.
Sunday breakfast as always,
Valentine’s cards exchanged.
Love in our eyes and smiles
hard to tell without glasses.
Decades together,
no special day needed to celebrate love.
We are doing fine,
we haven’t killed each other -yet.

It’s funny how things change throughout the years. From partying all night to hardly make it through a movie, sharing reading glasses, going to bed with the chickens. 🙂
