Things have just got a lot more difficult. Here’s what I think. I had no control over what just happened. None. But I do have control over how I will react to it. And I am not going to give up on the beautiful and the good, the grip on my dreams just got tighter.
I am reacting the same way. However, some of my idealism flew out of the window. “Trump is not who we are,” has no changed to “Maybe Trump is exactly who we are.”
I will continue my life the way I had it planned, but I will be careful what I say and write and to whom and where.

Goodness Peter, now I have to bear four more years of this idiocy, listen to the endless blabber, the hatred, the racism. That’s a bit much. Thank you for thinking of me/us.

Very good article. I just hope that my worst fears are misguided and that his advisors manage to keep him from ruining your country and/or the world!
