Like a Dream…

Very quiet at times, like a dream
sounds like a distant song within you…

You don’t know how it suddenly came,
you don’t know what it wants from you…

and like a dream, very quiet and still
it fades away again as it came…

Like suddenly in the middle of the crowd
the street, often in the middle of winter

a breath of roses blows around you,
like or every now and then a picture

from long-forgotten childhood days
standing in front of you with questioning eyes…

Very still and quiet, like a dream…
You don’t know how it suddenly came,

you don’t know what it wants from you,

and like a dream, very quiet and still
it fades again as it came.

A Winter Poem by Cäsar Flaischlen (1864 – 1920)

Your shots are beautiful! I especially liked the closeup with the branch in the front and the ice. So pretty!
