If you think everyone hates you, go to sleep.
If you hate everyone else, eat something.
If you hate yourself, take a shower.
A wise, older gentleman gave me this advice years ago, and he was right.
I wake up with a smile after a good night’s sleep, I feel happy and satisfied after a good meal, and the clean and fresh feeling I have after a nice shower should never be underestimated.
And if I still have a problem afterward, then it might not be my problem to solve to begin with.

This advice could help in many situations. I might start with drinking a glass of water.
Reminds me of what my therapist told me to look out for if I am starting to feel overwhelmed. HALT – are you Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired? If so those issues may be exaggerating everything, fix them first before you do anything. This is good advice too.
Hunger has so many reasons and most of them have nothing to do with food. There was a study years back, when they asked people if they needed a hug or wanted to have another plate of food. Most went for the hug and the urge to overeat disappeared. Our mind is powerful, too powerful sometimes.
Let’s see… I have heard that 4 hugs are required for survival, 8 for maintenance, and 12 for growth EACH day. There is also a meme that says you crave hugs 13 times a day, average hugs lasts 9.5 seconds and you need to hug for 20 seconds to have healing properties. Bring on all the hugs! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
