I have always love the iridescent colors flowing from their necks down. Really a pretty bird and he posed so nicely for you too!

    • We have a pigeon coming by every day. It drinks out of our small bird bath (bought by accident without paying attention to the measurements). It comes by, drinks elegantly, sits and poses for a while, then it flies away.

  2. Hey! Aren’t you the one outside earlier? Where are the rest of your buddies?

There are always 15 pigeons that lands on our grounds at home everyday. Like lunch or almost dinner time. Lately we can only see 5. I hope they are okey. We dont know where they are.

    • We have only one wild pigeon that comes by every day, which I find very interesting.

What glorious colours to have for one’s coat . . . and be blessed with heart shaped markings above the beak . . . handsome is as handsome does . . .

    • I find the coloring on their neck area particularly interesting. As for the heart shaped marking on the beak. I didn’t notice it until you brought it up. Goodness, I am not very observant.

  4. I love them, but wish they would clean up after using my bird feeders as a toilet!

    • Not just the pigeons all of them. Go, clean up after yourself.

Birds never stay still for me. As soon as I fish out the iPhone, they’re off.

    • An animal photographer once told me that he has a collection of thousands of empty pictures and he was right. So do I. It takes 20 shots (at least) to get one decent animal picture. Dogs, cats, horses, birds, they move too fast and too much.
