Wow! What a great showing of a true neighborhood. It is not as common as it used to be to see neighbors come together like that. Awesome!

    • It surprised me too. I thought it was worth taking the picture and showcasing it on my blog. Together we are strong!

    • I am sure they gossiped like all men do. Or they talked about football (yawn).

BIG yawn! But, i began watching the Winter Olympics last night . . . and you will not hear much from me during the next fortnight – wonderful, even tho’ time differences make watching difficult > we have a team of over 200 TV people over there and free 24-hour coverage on three stations!!!

Didn’t get a lot of snow but a lot of ice. Very dangerous.

    • I rather deal with a foot of snow than ice. Be safe!

For sure. How much snow did you get? In the old days, maybe 5 or 6 years ago, the two neighbors across the street and I used to snowblow our driveways out at the same time most days. When we got to the street we were trying real hard not to fill the neighbor’s part of the road while he was cleaning it out. It was sort of funny. They mostly thought I was husband Bruce while we were doing it, it’s hard to tell under all that flying snow and big coats. We always did the road in front of our houses too, because the county never does get to our subdivision to plow.

    • We got over 20″ of snow. It’s a mess out there. We had to shovel a walkway for the dogs through the yard. It’s comical.

We had to do that for Katie, our previous sheltie. She was a bit shorter than Penny is. Penny doesn’t seem to care. She just bounces out there into snow up to her shoulders and pees. Good girl.

Wow, its great to see neighbors that all get along. That may not happen in my neighborhood but we don’t get snow down here. It’s in the surrounding mountains.

  9. So there you are, battling ice (and snow), the way it should be battled. I still find it ironic that ICE should be a problem in Minnesota. Aren’t they use to that? Oh! Not the weather?

    • I can’t comment on this (even though I really want to). I am afraid if I am going to start writing about ice then I will not stop. 🙁
