I used to pick pie (tart) cherries every year and freeze them and make pies during the year. A family tradition. But I haven’t for the last couple years and this year I’m sure I’ve missed the season again. I always liked how beautiful the cherries were on the tree too.

I love tart cherries as well. It surprised me to see them ripe already. Somehow, this summer seems to be flying by.
