Animals have feelings too…

I get lost of emails every day, phone calls, messages and some even dare to text me, even though I really don’t like it. There is so much new information every day, some goes on the pile “useful”, some goes on the pile “might be useful” and then there is a very small pile. It doesn’t have a name, but it’s the most important one. Different “stuff”, but all of it touched my heart in one way or another. I got this today and it touched my heart, I starred at it for a while. So, even though it has nothing to do with smoking or quitting (yes I know hart to believe) I would like to share it with all of you. 

All creatures feel in their own way; feelings evidently are not exclusive to humans.

Below … a barn swallow’s female mate is injured and the condition is soon fatal.

She was hit by a car as she swooped low across the road.

Here he brought her food and attended to her with love and compassion.

He brought her food again but was shocked to find her dead.
He tried to move her….a rarely-seen effort for swallows!

Aware that his sweetheart is dead and will never come back to him again,
he cries with adoring love

He stood beside her, wailing at her death.

Finally aware that she would never return to him, he
stood beside her body with sadness and sorrow.

Supposedly, millions of people cried after watching this picture in
America and Europe and even in Asia. It is said that the
photographer sold these pictures for a nominal fee to the
most famous newspaper in France. All copies of that
newspaper were sold out on the day these pictures were published.

And many people think animals don’t have a brain or feelings…Is it possible that some do?

Live simply, love generously, care deeply and speak kindly.

“And what is as important as knowledge?” asks the mind.

“Caring and seeing with the heart”, answers the soul.
