What do you see? A mouse or a lion?

There was a King who had 1 Eye and 1 leg..

He asked all the painters to draw a beautiful portrait of him. But none of them could — how could they paint him beautifully with the defects in one eye and one leg.

Eventually one of them agreed and drew a classic picture of the King.

It was a fantastic picture and surprised everyone..

He painted the King aiming for a hunt. Targeting with one eye closed and one leg bent…

Why can’t we all paint pictures like this for others? Hiding their weaknesses and highlighting their strength! We look at people with addictions and judge them. “Oh, he is just a junkie” or “she is just an alcoholic”. We make a judgement based on an obvious weakness.

Who will paint my picture and what will they see? A scared little mouse yelled at by addiction, or a proud lion who is in control!

I hope you look at me and see a lion!

Hello again. Just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for the blog follow! 🙂

From the bit I’ve seen and read, you have a great blog and are one tough lady!

I have read your About page (as well as a couple other posts) but have *yet* done any additional comments on your blog. I will, it’s just that today was rough for me physically, and that almost always leave me a bit brain dead. I’ll come back to read (and comment) more when I’m a bit less brain dead. 😉

Oh, and I’m following you now too!

Here’s a blogger I follow who’s challenging no-one but herself. And successfully, the clever thing ! But like all of us, she needs a little … reassurance, every now and then …
