Your posts often deal with social problems and I admire you for being so committed…

Oh Man is that true? Do I post often about social problems? I got diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) just a few months after I quit smoking. Autoimmune diseases don’t run in my family, so I started to wonder where it came from. Many diseases, like celiac disease (gluten intolerance) were unknown 20 years ago. I researched everywhere, all over the word in any language that I know. I wasn’t willing to take heavy medications or to just give in.
Food and many of today’s health problems are related. I will post about my experience soon.
Now, if only more countries and individual farmers would do this, there might be some progress. I hate this stuff. I really HATE it and I don’t hate much.
I don’t know a lot about this subject, but the whole GMO thing doesn’t sit well with me. It reminds me a lot of when immigrants came here and went to work in the slaughter houses and factories in Chicago. Used to making their own sausages and other meat products in their home countries, they would buy this meat at the market and feed it to their families thinking it to be the wholesome sausage they made at home. It became a staple in their meals. Problem was, a lot of them were practically malnourished and it took physicians a while to figure out they WERE because the sausages the manufacturers were producing here were full of fillers. Though that’s not the whole of the story, reform of the industry quickly followed. (If anyone’s interested in the story, you can read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair.) Glad you posted this Miss Lady Bug.

Yes, please!
I remember you told us about your disease and that you would report your exams’ results within a few weeks….
Waiting for them, now ….

As soon as I got rid of the 9 gene manipulated foods in my diet I felt better. I hate it too, it makes us sick(er).
