Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive double-pane energy efficient kind, and today, I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been completed a whole year ago and I still hadn’t paid for them.
Hellloooo …? Just because I’m blonde doesn’t mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast talking sales guy had told me last year, that in ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves! Helllooooo? It’s been a year! I told him. There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just hung up.
He never called back. I bet he felt like an idiot.

We did have double windows put in and yes, they save energy but will take many years to pay for themselves. In the meantime energy companies keep jacking up energy prices. They punish those with solar panels by paying less for energy that goes back into the grid than what we take out of the grid. It makes me go grrrrrr.
We had to put in new windows a while back and it really paid off. I always wanted to look into solar panels, but our house is too old and the roof is too young. One day I will tackle the issue.
Oh jeez, I wish that was a true story also. Love the way your mind works. Give us so more stories.
