Another Attack? – Friday Fictioneers

Boardwalk

I can sense him. He is hiding back there, just waiting for me to come closer.

What will happen?  Will he come out right away or will he wait until I turn my back and attack then?

There he is! He is running toward me at lightning speed; one big jump -his weight almost brings me down. We struggle, I raise my hands.

“I give up.”

He is excited, he won. It almost looks like he is smiling -I know I am.

“Let’s go home puppy, enough play for one day.”

Soon Caesar will learn to come when I call.

  1. Cute story, Bridget. If he’s that big as a puppy, he’ll be a huge dog. Good writing. 🙂 — Suzanne

What a nice bit of misdirection. Puppies grow up so fast. Lovely story, and of course they smile.
