A glass of wine
Sitting there wondering
What the future will hold
War comes to my mind
And I shiver.
Not possible I want to scream
But the words don’t come out.
War! What’s there to gain?
The innocent will die
For something, they don’t understand.
It takes two to tango
One who leads and one who follows.
May the right one lead
May the other follow
With peace in mind.
We are in a scary place right now. Terrifying really
This is a really frightening time with two egomaniacs trying to one-up each other. I’m holding my breath that someone rational will be able to de-escalate this.
It’s terrifying to see how quickly things can escalate. 3 1/2 more years…goodness we need a miracle.
We need to get to November 2018 and if things go the way I hope they do, we can put the whole thing on hold. But even 14 months seems like a lifetime.
There is no ‘win’ in this current scenario. It can only end badly.

I didn’t think it possible that I’d be even more sober than I’ve been the previous 8 months. Troubling times on top of troubling times. I have never seen this Chagall before and it’s breathtaking. Thank you for your words. Somehow solidarity in thought adds a little comfort.

Knowing that we are not alone helps -but only a little.
Two morons in two different parts of the world could literally ruin the lives of millions of people…let’s hope and pray it doesn’t happen!

It IS scary. Neither of these “leaders” seem to be able to leave ego at the side of the road and truly lead with the thought of what’s best for the people of the world.
