This question is often found in fairy tales or stories, and the answer is usually associated with something in return. Just like most of us, I have often thought about the three wishes. As a young child, I hoped for a mountain of ice cream and, of course, world peace, because that’s the answer you are supposed to give. (Worldpeace, not the ice cream.)
Happiness is not the destination, but the journey. Happiness itself is the state of mind, it’s the way we travel through life. What if it’s the same with peace? What if nothing will ever change if we don’t change within, each one of us?
A glass of wine
Sitting there wondering
What the future will hold
War comes to my mind
And I shiver.
Looking around and watching the news, yes, I know what the author was thinking. This world is truly hell for so many -too many.
My Grandmother told me the same story every Christmas evening and I always asked the same question, “Why didn’t they just stop fighting forever?”
“Because it wasn’t up to them, they were just normal soldiers and they had to do what their emperors wanted them to do.”
“But they made peace for Christmas,” she said and then she told me the story.

Thunder rumbles in the mountain passes
And lightning rattles the eaves of our houses.
Flood waters await us in our avenues.
We should not blame Trump for the sad state of our politics. For an American political system with so many structural flaws and no strategy to fix it in sight, the presidential campaign of Donald Trump brings exactly the kind of politics we Americans deserve.
Let me see, do I really want to focus -again- on something negative and make a list of things, I couldn’t accomplish last week? Or, do I keep on writing, with a smile on my face, and concentrate instead on the things that I did accomplish.
