As a child I was totally enamored with a child’s headstone in our city cemetery. It had a small concrete angel carved on it with a face similar to this one & seeing this made me think of that. I hadn’t thought of that in years but I can see it in my mind right this minute. Not a usual childhood memory but not an unpleasant one. It was peaceful.
I love the way you took this shot. It seems like the child was talking.
Oh, thank you, Rupali.
Hi Bridget, I have mentioned your post in my post. Do you mind if I link to your blog? I was not sure if you approve it or not.
Of course, Rupali. It would be an honor.
Done. Thanks.
Hauntingly lovely.

I am glad it’s not an unpleasant memory. I like weathered statue, they age with us.
A lovely way to think of it …
Maybe as we age we turn into ‘weathered people’ instead of elderly. I kind of like that better
Wistful!
That’s a magnificent word choice.
Thank you. I must admit I was pleased with it!
Haunting and beautiful all at once. 🙂
I got the same vibe.
