First thing in the morning, on my daily quest to find laughter to set the mood for the rest of my day, I often find unexpected treasures, and many of them make me cry happy tears.
The ultimate wonderful feeling is when your heart is filled with joy -preferably for a stranger. Silent tears running down my cheeks, because another deserving soul has found a home. May it be dogs or cats, donkeys, and cows, old bears or giraffes, I can’t help but shed tears of happiness when I watch the moment when their lives are changed for the better.
I am a dog lover, a cat fan, a pet enthusiast, and a human with a big heart for all animals, and, if it weren’t for the damn bacon, the evil rib eye, and a perfectly roasted duck, I would follow my vegan diet full heartedly all year around -because I love animals and hate the way we mass produce meat and eggs- but because of these things, I only succeed 90%.
Little bear, a blind miniature chow chow. How could one not fall in love?

Isn’t it just wonderful? The honest, heartfelt Rose-Titanic kind of love this man feels for a special needs dog? (And how happy I am I found a new phrase to express love).
It made my day. It gave me not just a smile, but also tears of joy and the reassurance that, yes, not all is good, but there are so many good people out there who deserve our love and respect. No matter who they vote for, no matter what god they pray to, and no matter their skin color or their sexual orientation.
Most humans are good! It’s just that the bad, the hateful ones are louder, so we forget it sometimes.

A movie about K-9 & the interaction with human. Very touching movie. Animal has memories & emotion as well. They need time & love to overcome those traumas. It is very touching to see how human helping her to get well.❤️🩹
WHat a wonderful video. Watching Little Bear nuzzle into love made me cry while I was laughing out oud. What a wonderful feeling for this little soul so in need of that love. I watched it twice … so far.
As a cat lover I donate monthly to our local shelter because it just makes my heart happy. I can’t take them all but I can do what I can.
We’ve always had shelter cats. Out last one was like a child to us & lived to be 19. We still miss him. 8 years ago we adopted a 10-yr-old cat from the shelter. Adult cats so often are overlooked in favor of kittens. We can’t imagine what it must be like for these animals to have a home & then be surrendered for whatever reason. They wait for their person to come back for them. I can’t imagine their anguish when they don’t.
Our latest cat at 10 had asthma when we adopted her. At 18 now she also has high blood pressure & osteoarthritis. We give her the best vet care & all our love. I wish I could take them all. No animal should live out their life in a shelter.
Sorry to ramble. It is a beautiful post that touched me.
I could watch those dog rescue videos all night long. Asher house is one of my favorites. Hang in there with the move toward vegan diet. 90% is good. I’ve been able to keep cows, pigs, and chickens, fish and even cheese off my plate one day at a time. It’s just the hidden ingredients in baked goods that slip by sometimes.
Me too. I think the ASPCA would get more donations if they would show in their TV commercials the happy endings of the animals they rescue as well and not just the bad circumstances they find them in. Most of us are ‘suckers’ for happy endings. I am 🙂
Good point about the TV commercials. I can’t watch the sad ones at all. They need to show the good work they’re doing.
I feel the same way.
That’s kind of sad you good?
Sometimes. When there’s a happy ending.
He’s SO CUTE! I agree with the guy, how could anyone give him up? Wow! Thanks for always finding the good things to share!
I fell in love with ‘Little Bear’ too. How could one not?
The best kind of tears
I love Asher House! Any dog that ends up there is safe forever.
Now that’s true love! 🙂
How absolutely bloomin’ lovely!
Oh, Peter! “Bloomin’ lovely” is almost as good as “Rose-Titanic kind of love” 🙂
Yup, that’ll do it. So nice they found each other. Happy September Bridget. Allan
Happy September, Allan.
Little Bear has a LOT of new friends! How many dogs does that guy have?!!! The love, though, that was amazing!
He rescues dogs and finds new homes for them, but he has a few of his own. As for ‘little bear’ he is part of his pack now and he will not be up for adoption. He found his forever home 🙂
A lovely story 😊
Thanks for watching, Clive.

Not sure what the sign means, but I bet it’s good 🙂
