Ah, memories. We had a “class” in kindergarten called “Rhythms,” where we all moved in a circle, following the teacher’s directions to walk, run, hop, jump, skip, or “gallop.” It was a lot of fun, until we were told to stop galloping and start walking, and the boy behind me didn’t slow down fast enough. 20 minutes later my mother was driving me home as I held an ice pack on the purple “goose-egg” on my forehead. That’s the last time I recall having “Rhythms.” … I hadn’t thought of that in decades …
