The weekend edition is my favorite. On Saturday morning, I have time to scroll through all the news outlets and find what I think might be newsworthy.

Every day I learn something new about other countries, and I have to admit that I underestimated the progress in Africa and didn’t know too much about Japan or China either. It’s wonderful to see that we deal with the same problems. It’s also scary to see that we deal with the same problems — yet our approach and our willingness to find a solution differ so often — too often.

News without politics. No drama. Just facts. I like to take a look through the looking glass and see the world as a whole. No borders on my blog. No division.

Yesterday got away from me. Somehow—not sure how it happened— in the afternoon I sat down to take a short break, and then I dozed off and woke up three hours later. Age? Heat? Puppy exhaustion? All of it, I suppose. The dogs didn’t wake me. The phone was quiet. Husband was at work. It’s like the world had decided I needed some sleep.
