Can’t is the worst word that’s written or spoken;
Doing more harm here than slander and lies;
On it is many a strong spirit broken,
And with it many a good purpose dies.
It springs from the lips of the thoughtless each morning
And robs us of courage we need through the day:
It rings in our ears like a timely-sent warning
And laughs when we falter and fall by the way.

The days are getting shorter, and the temperatures are dropping. What is for others a reason to grieve is comforting for my soul. Autumn is a long-awaited boost for my spirit. I know that sounds terrible, doesn’t it?

A woman once came to a town and asked the local sage, “I’m thinking about moving here. What kinds of people live here?”

The sage asked the woman, “What kinds of people live in the town you came from?”

“Where I’m from the people are liars, cheaters, and mean spirited,” the woman responded.
