This is the apocalypse
A daffodil has poked its head up
from the dirt and opened
sunny arms to bluer skies
yet I am filled with
dark and anxious dread
as theaters close as travel ends and
grocery stores display their empty rows
where toilet paper liquid bleach
and bags of flour stood in upright ranks.

I have neglected my blog and my blogging friends. I didn’t write much and read even less. I have been busy; tried to juggle too many things all at once, bit off more than I could chew. Whenever life demands my full attention, the virtual world has to be put on hold.

Right about now, when the sun shines a little bit brighter, that’s when I start to see dirt everywhere. I have the spring cleaning disease! Apparently, it runs in our family, my Grandmother gave it to me.

Yesterday in the morning, I opened my eyes and felt joy. Spring is near, the room wasn’t dark anymore -the sun was raising, and so was I. Today in the morning at the same time it was dark again. We had turned the clocks forward last night, back to daylight-saving time.
