Happy eggs, from healthy chickens, don’t need artificial food colors. No reason to waste money on store-bought coloring tablets if you have an old pair of stockings at home and some onions in the pantry.

Chocolate bunnies are as much a part of Easter as chocolate eggs but that was not always the case. In the past, the bunnies were made of sugar. I remember the red bunny, so shiny, sitting on the corner of the desk in my room.

Easter is a wonderful time to get creative. I love to make Suprise Cake Eggs, which are so easily done, and everybody loves them. All it takes is two or three dozen fresh eggs and your favorite cake or brownie mix. Right out of the box -not too time-consuming but fun to make. Of course, you can make your own cake batter if you prefer.
I do everything full heartedly, always give my best, even when I am wrong, even then will I do everything I can to outdo myself. And I am telling you, I do have my moments. I wish I could blame it on age or missing hormones, I wish I could blame it on somebody else -anybody else- but often there is just no way out.
