Donald Trump and his fan club don’t even allow a silent protest. A Muslim woman, Rose Hamid, and others stood there in silence with a yellow Rub el Hizb pinned at their chest and they were escorted out by security officers and campaign representatives.
First of all -and this will hopefully be read by CNN and their reporters- the yellow David star used during WWII to outcast Jews has 6 corners and is actually a star, while the Rub el Hizb is a Muslim sign, made out of two overlapping squares. (Research is not that complicated guys, it took me 30 seconds…get it right).
She got up and just stood there in silence, wearing a shirt saying “Salam I come in peace.”
But peace, that’s not what Trump or his followers stand for. They stand for hate and controversy; they stand for everything I condemn.
Trump, who was suppose to be just election entertainment, has gained momentum and I blame the news for it, especially CNN. Not a day goes by when this guy is mentioned over and over. CNN was once a good and reliable news station that I loved, not much is left today. I see sensationalism instead of journalism. News channels should inform us about the news -preferably world wide-not entertain us.
Many of us still believe that Trump will just go away -and I want to believe so too- but chances are getting slimmer by the day. Many blogger decided not to get involved, but I think it’s time for all of us to get up and say and write what we feel.
Being silent has caused enough harm in the past, this should NEVER be repeated.
Wearing a yellow Rub el Hizb with the word “Muslim” should make us ALL remember a time, when people were hunted because of their religious believes.
The last thing this world needs is Donald Trump as President for the United States of America. This country was founded by immigrants and we should never forget our roots. I am scared, I am scared that this country will be more and more divided. I am scared that hate will be more and more part of our everyday life.
I don’t want to be scared~!

I recently wrote a post about him. His expressions are looking more and more like Mussolini every day. This is a dangerous man who is allowed to run riot. I cannot believe that people take him seriously, and that is very scary.
I wrote a few posts about him already, one with more disbelieve than the other. I just can’t wrap my head around it. Why would anybody endorse this guy. This scares me so much.
Loved this post, Bridget, and fear the absolute truth of it. Well done. So glad you’re sounding the horn! I talk to a lot of people about him here, but people are just feeding off his anger and rage.
Come to think of it, I’m not even sure he gives a crap. He just gets off on being in charge.
From where I sit In the UK and look upon what this man is spouting out.. I can not believe the people who are agreeing with him and supporting him… He will cause so much Mayhem between cultures within the USA .. And before long will spark something the USA can not extinguish.. And this was just another instance of his intolerance and prejudiced views..
I hear you loud and clear. They say that he attracts only people with lesser education and that might be true. I have absolutely no explanation about what is going on.
Sigh.. From where I sit he is in-sighting racial hatred.. and here in the UK we have laws in place.. Even a recent MP Member of Parliament was made to resign from him being found to making racial remarks..
Gosh I wish we would have laws like this. We moral laws and I expected long ago that he would be thrown out of any political party…but nothing happened. Its a very bad situation.
Look up on Google the Race Relations Act UK.. Its been in place since 1976 and was amended again in 2000…
I, along with over half a million others, have signed a petition calling on our government to ban Trump from visiting the UK. What worries me most about this man is the amount of support he has in the US for his abhorrent views and the possibility that he could be elected. Nothing he has said about the UK Muslim community is true, but people seem to want to believe him. He isn’t a joke any more: he’s dangerous.
Hardly anything he says is the truth. He attracts certain people, has been endorsed by white supremacist and similar groups.
I fear for the whole world, not just the US, if he should get elected. Please tell me that can’t happen!
I was born right on the border between Italy and Austria, married my American knight-in-shinning armor and moved here to the US in the 80’s. I have never thought about leaving..until now. Who knows, maybe we will win the superjackpot on Tuesday and will end up in an old cottage in Ireland (my husbands dream).
Can it happen, I don’t think he will win the nominee. There is absolutely no way the Republican party will be that stupid.
I do fear that he has set the tone for future elections and I don’t like it.
A party that put Sarah Palin on the ticket has a track record of stupidity! I’m hoping for no repeats!

With an anti-tank rifle! I preferred Tina Fey’s version of her to be honest, but you’re right about how dumb she was. The Republicans ran her as VP so you can see why I wouldn’t put any stupid actions beyond them!

That man is filled with so much disheartening hate juice. I pray so hard that he doesn’t win. People like him remind me of the Holocaust. A present day Hitler. I am not Muslim but this is so wrong.
So true Jacqueline, so true. I think many of us are scared, that’s why I think we need to speak up, because I just hate the idea that the rest of the world think we all are like that.

So unbelievable to me, and absolutely frightening. What a world we are living in. The man next to Rose, immigration lawyer Marty Rosenbluth, was a classmate of mine in High School.
It is very frightening and I really think the news has blown this guy up. I just don’t want to believe that so many people here would agree with him. It scares me so much.
I don’t like talking about politics but this entire presidential race scares me.
It scares me too. If Trump is elected, I am tempted to move out of the country.
I live here in the U.S. since over 30 years (love immigrant) and never thought about moving back to Italy or Austria. Now I do think about it (not without my husband of course). That’s sad, really sad.
I think of my children and what they will inherit after four years of any of them and it is all too scary.
Reading the news in Europe and what people think about us and Trump, that’s tough to read.
I said once I wouldn’t talk/write on my blog about religion, politics and sex. So far I have been quiet about sex and didn’t say much about my believes, but I will damned if I am quiet about Trump.
