…
“Wild faith” perhaps the signature I need? Or the blog name I should have? Wild, as in untamed or possibly even untrained? Faith, as in confidence, perhaps even trust?
My husband, many years ago joked, “Why would I want another woman, I could never train you,” which, if I remember correctly, was quickly answered by me with a pillow flying across the room, toward him and missing him by 2 or three yards. Oh, the fun pretended quarrels we had when we were younger.
“I could never train you…” Like I would be a dog, but come to think of it, that’s what marriage is, or a big part of it. Couples train each other the same way you would teach a dog. Eye contact, reading each other’s body language, and over time we know what the other one is thinking, and worst (or best scenario) we can finish each other’s sentences. (YES, we can, and YES, we do).
I got sidetracked – again. What did I want to write about? Oh, yes, “Wild faith” or the simple statement that I have no energy (left) to hate.
I wish us well.
Of course, whether or not “society is sick” is a subjective interpretation depending on individual values and perspectives.
In my humble opinion, HATE is a form of sickness, and there is a lot of hate going around these days. Hating is so easy. To hate you don’t have to be able to do anything. Quite frankly any fool can hate.
Every day I read comments under articles, videos, and private posts that give me goosebumps.
Hatred of ….. (fill in the blanks because there are endless possibilities).
The internet, with all its magic, is poisonous -people can write very nasty things and they do.
I understand why some people are angry. I am sometimes angry too. Anger can be a good thing, a drive to do something constructive. Anger can be the push you need to change things.
HATE out of anger, however, never leads to anything good.

I see more posts that have had to had comments turned off. No where near enough of the bad hateful comments have been stopped though. There is just too much hate, there has to be a way to counter it.
I am lost for words at the moment. I have absolutely no idea how to adjust to the changes.
Hi, Bridget! You have presented some good points, and I agree with you 100%!🌸
Thank you, Kymber. It’s good to know that others think the same way.
So well said
If only nobody had the energy to hate, Bridget.
What a wonderful world it would be.
The internet is indeed poisonous, we need to choose carefully where we go.
The internet is as good and/or as bad as we make it. We did forget to put laws and regulation in place when it started and then it overrolled us. Ten years ago I would have laughed out loud if someone would have suggested that fact checking would be given u p, yet here we are.
Yes, we have to look for the good and bypass the evil on the internet.
We must remember that those in government, even the president, are not our leaders, they are our representatives. They speak for us. If what they’re saying or doing does not represent what we know to be right, we need to call them on it. We are the ones that need to be rational and compassionate.
It’s not the leaders, but the people who put these leaders in place. Around 40 % of the people in the US can’t be bothered with an election.
70 million voted for Trump even though he told them honestly that he wants to be a dictator. Either they don’t know what it means, or they don’t care. Both possibilities are scary.
Exactly! these 70m people were looking for the “feel good solution” for their particular tribe and the easy fix. When will they learn that an autocracy takes their power away? When will they learn that duct tape and baling wire doesn’t solve problems because it costs more in repairs and maintenance to sustain than preventing the problems in the first place.
With the mass deportations, do we only deport the illegal Mexicans, or everyone from Central and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa? He wants a do-over where only current citizens are allowed. Then how does he remove the criminals from that bunch…all of them? Does that include himself? Argh.
“Give me your tired, your poor…” I guess the poem will be removed from the pedestal The Statue of Liberty stands on?
I figured out the loop hole! Lady Liberty is staring out over the Atlantic to England and France (since France gave us the statue…) not South! They used to treat the Italian Immigrants like they treat the Central and South American Immigrants. My grandfather was not allowed to preach in German and had to shave his mustache. They even raised the same complaints! They take jobs from hardworking Americans and they rape and kill our women! And the biggest purveyors in human trafficking are the billionaires in America. oops.
Very well said, Bridget. We have to pray for rational and compassionate leaders to rise to this ominous occasion.
Well, considering that many of the 70 million who voted for Trump like to call themselves Christians, I don’t think that praying would help much. 🙂
I wonder what all those “Christians” thought of the plea for kindness from the bishop and his response to her?!
Yes indeed, and I wish us well too!
That’s all we can do, Peter.
