The Laugh of The Day

I promise I wanted one yogurt, not 19. 🙂 Mango yogurt, dairy-free, made from coconut milk. It’s my favorite but I almost fainted when I opened the grocery bag. It made me laugh, but it also showed me to double-check all the orders I call in.

And, in case you wonder, I prefer to shop for groceries online and have them delivered, because it keeps me from impulse shopping -which I think I invented. 🙂

Also, during the time someone shops for us, I can work. It’s a win-win for me and has kept our grocery budget lower than it had been before COVID-19 (that’s when we started to order in).

But I do wonder? What happened to common sense? The app offers a ‘message/text’ function so the shopper and the customer can communicate. How about using it?

I chose ONE replacement yogurt -not 19. That should give one the idea that the number 19 in the order might be a typo, or perhaps a computer glitch.

The cost for the yogurts was $28, which was refunded. Come to think of it, now I stole a yogurt. (Sigh)

What in the world am I going to do with the 18 remaining yogurts? Even though it’s my favorite it will get old quickly if I HAVE TO eat it every day. The expiration date showed April 7th on all the once I checked – no, I did not check 19 yogurts – so there is time.

I offered some to my neighbors, who all were not sure because (Yikes) it’s dairy-free yogurt, and as we all know, if ‘stuff’ is too healthy, then most shy away, and rightfully so, because so often, healthier living tastes like cardboard -which come to think of, is not true after all. I just tried vegan lentil-black bean burgers and they were not just gluten-free but also extra yummy.

I gave some of the yogurts to friends and dared my neighbors to try one, and they all loved it.

It was a good laugh and I have enough of my favorite yogurt to splurge a little every day.

  1. Put about 6 cups of the yogurt into an ice cream freezer and voila! Or put it into a shallow pan and freeze it then scoop it into a plastic container and keep it frozen. I hope it works!

Yogurt lasts a long time in the fridge and I use it for baking, especially the coconut flavoured one. Great when making pancakes or muffins. I buy about 8 a week as we both eat it. It was good of you to share them with your friends and neighbours.
