Yesterday in the morning, I opened my eyes and felt joy. Spring is near, the room wasn’t dark anymore -the sun was raising, and so was I. Today in the morning at the same time it was dark again. We had turned the clocks forward last night, back to daylight-saving time.

To everything there is a season, these words – originally from Ecclesiastes, made into a song by Pete Seeger, became in the 60’s a big hit for “The Byrds.” Now those words are beginning to resonate for me more than ever before.

Today is the last day in September and we had the first cold night. Summer is over, the winds are picking up and the October fairy is getting ready to paint all the leaves in beautiful reds and golds, so that we don’t forget why it’s called the “Golden October.”

If you were a pen, what type, style and color would you be?

Wow, what a question. I was thinking about all the pens there are. Ink pens, pencils and colored pens. I think I would be a permanent marker. Something that you just can’t erase, no matter how hard you try. I like that~!
