All year long, people like me collect gently used bras and feminine hygiene products, shampoos, and toothbrushes and during the holiday season, in every town, village, and subdivision, there are Santa’s helpers making sure that the most essential needs are not forgotten.
When I was asked to sew facemasks, I started a friendship with a woman who works with homeless people and shelters. Before I knew what hit me, I got involved, jumped in head forward -not knowing what I got myself into.
When I tried to find homes for my donation face mask, I called numerous shelters and soup kitchens. My “Buy one/Give one” face mask campaign had been a big success.
