The headline made me so happy, I had to share it with everybody I know and of course, that includes my readers here on The Happy Quitter.
The book’s story is about a rabbit named Marlon Bundo, who is falling in love with another boy rabbit because Marlon Bundo is gay. The book is real and genuinely meant for children, with a bunch of lovely celebrities providing the audiobook narration and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project and AIDS United.
I am very happy this fantastic book is available now. I remember the discrimination my friends suffered in their youth. If through my purchase, I am also contributing support for gay rights, I am even happier. Love is something to celebrate, not demonize.
With its message of tolerance and advocacy, this charming children’s book explores issues of same sex marriage and democracy. Sweet, funny, and beautifully illustrated, this book is dedicated to every bunny who has ever felt different. (Source: Amazon)
Mr. John Oliver….you rock!~
The background story to the book (CLOSE TO THE END -if you are in a hurry):
In memoriam of my friend Juergen, who all his life hoped that one day he would be allowed to marry his boyfriend. “It happened my friend, RIP.”

Awesome! John Oliver was on Ellen today.
I have never watched Ellen but I am glad she invited him.
You don’t watch Ellen!? She’s so terrific. I believe she is in great part responsible for changing the minds of many Americans on the topic of gay marriage.
Nope, never have. Mainly because it’s an afternoon show -like Oprah- and I work until 5 or 6 pm. I am not a fan of shows like this.
Love Oliver and Marlon Bundo!
