“Just jump up and down in front of my window,” I joked and pointed at my office window on the side of our house when Tommy complained that I hadn’t answered the door once again. “Jumping in front of a white woman’s window. I would get arrested,” he explained laughing, and I thought he was joking.

Cleaning fairy #3 was a Russian lady, who came from a country which belonged to Russia in the past and now they don’t speak Russian anymore -turned out she didn’t speak much English either. I give classes now and then, mostly to women who want to learn how to restore and reupholster a piece of furniture. Most of them are pretty crafty, to begin with, and they know how to sew.
