I should write how it all makes me feel, yet I am lost for words. I didn’t expect a call like this, didn’t think I could be of any help, yet I was and it left me with mixed emotions.
Just like all the other stores and workshops in my line of business, they asked me as well. “Could you sew masks, no pay, we provide the material, but we are running out of 1/4″ elastic, perhaps you have some?”
Hiding behind a screen brings out the worst in some. How easy it is these days, to constantly offend and attack people with mean tweets and comments. I am often shocked by the brutality and coldness people can show, with just a few words.
I wore my first watch with pride. I walked around with my head held high and my sleeves were always pulled up, so everybody could see the beautiful watch with the shining, red band that I had gotten for my birthday.
I am nice, try to be always
but it is so hard lately
